Stupid and Holy Congressmen (and Congresswomen)

PZ laments that his state possesses Radar Magazine's "Holiest Congressmen" (woman, actually) -- kooky Michele Bachmann. PZ's state also sent us their kooky YEC education administrator who Jeb promptly appointed the highest post in the state's system: creationist and anti-science zealot Cheri Yecke.

But, which is worse: zealous or stupid? We here in Florida proudly boasted of our religious-right-wingnut-job Katherine Harris before she won FIRST PLACE as the "America's Dumbest Congressmen" (a woman, yet again):

Representative Katherine Harris (R-FL) If dumb Congress members were the X-Men, Harris would be their Wolverine—a mutant possessing fearsome skills, the product of a demented government experiment gone horribly wrong.

I mean, anyone who thinks church-state separation is a myth and that the Decalogue forms the basis of our American law (a claim I'm all-too-familiar with) is both dumb and zealous. I think FL beats MN, hands down. We've got both stupid and holy down pat.
